Sarah’s food forest

How can we learn about local foods and their amazing benefits? Communication is a powerful tool.

Over the years, we have used social media to get our message out there, and we have also helped others to start youtube channels and Facebook pages, etc., to get their message heard!

The first person I helped to start a youtube channel, and I must repeat, “start” because once she started, her videos on youtube have been some of the best out there in regard to permaculture and natural/local food, is Sarah Kundig.

Sarah helped me with Solitude Farm Cafe for a couple of years from 2014. She was a vegan chef who had worked in Thailand, Brazil, Switzerland, etc. As well as a creative chef, she is also an amazing artist.

While introducing green smoothies and butterfly pea coolers to our menu, she became interested in permaculture and asked us to help her start her own garden. Again we started it with her, but she truly made it happen!

After a few years of seeing how amazing her garden had developed, I encouraged her to start to do Youtube videos. Along with a good friend of hers, her videos started to illustrate how she made vegan curd and vegan ice creams. Her inspiring videos take people on a tour of the garden, and if you are a fan and watch them all, you can really see how the garden has progressed. As a friend, I can see how beautiful the manifestation of this aspect of life has become.

Check out her videos, and don’t forget to subscribe.
