Soursop Seeds

The results in a food forest take time. Fruit trees take a minimum of five years to grow, and it may take a number of years before there are enough trees to obtain a decent yield of a particular fruit.

Soursop Seeds

We started off with a couple of soursop trees, and after five years, when we started to get fruits, we saved a handful of seeds every year. This year, we have finally obtained a huge harvest, and the fruits have gone into ice cream smoothies; they have been given on the Thali and offered in the basket service. But in my eyes, the real litmus of success lies in how much seed we have saved.

Each seed will grow into a tree, bearing numerous fruits and offering endless seeds. This year, we got more than a thousand seeds. If the soursop tree is more effective in treating cancer than Chemotherapy, then the implication of saving all these seeds is massive.
