As the food forest at the solitude farm grows, the ramphal production is going through the roof! We have to explore different ways of how to value this highly medicinal and tasty fruit.
One such possibility is to scoop out the creamy flesh, add a tiny amount of water and push it through a sieve.

By this way the seeds can be saved and the delicious custardy cream can be used for icecreams, smoothies, tarts and even added to chutneys.
For months after the ramphal season, we have kilos of frozen ramphal cream, a joyful, sweet gift from Mother nature!
