Relandscaping Project

I look at what we have created at Solitude Farm, a vibrant farm-to-plate cafe, a basket service, seed bank, nursery, food processing, ayurvedic powders, educating, and festivals, and I say to myself, if I can do this, anyone else can too.
I do not have a University degree, and I’m not particularly clever. This has all happened by honoring Mother Nature and valuing her gifts. I see Universities, hospitals, and corporate spaces. I imagine them surrounded by a food forest and the employees, students, or residents eating the food grown on the campus in collective canteens or cafes- building community and cultural identity through collective needs. It seems so obvious that land use should primarily be focused on growing food.
The educational and economic paradigm in which we are trapped turns it back on Mother Nature and runs only after monetary gain. The irony is that by focusing on a fundamental need such as food and understanding how well-being is equally nutritional, ecological, social, and cultural, our profits become diversified, and even economic profit increases.
This project which we are sharing today, gives an overview of how we are working with corporate spaces and how we are changing them from ornamental to edible landscapes. If you would like us to help you create edible landscapes in your space, please get in touch.
