Wanna travel the world and worried about food. Wooaahhh, we have tamarind rice for the rescue.
Tamarind rice is a common travel time food of south India, which can last for a couple of days, as tamarind acts as a natural preservative.
Soak tamarind and make it as a paste using your hand. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, dried red chillies, tamarind paste, salt to taste. Cook it for a while. Add cumin and pepper powder. Now you have the amazing sauce for the tamarind rice.
Mix this sauce with cooked rice. You can even add roasted spilt and polished chickpea and peanuts for some extra crunch and kick. There you have it. The amazingly delicious tamarind rice.
