Yard long beans, from the cowpea family, is a bean that grows up to a yard in length as the name implies. In this bio region the yard long bean can grow all year around. It’s very fast growing and can be used in salads, curries and stir fries. The creeper needs a simple structure to climb up, which could be dead branches or a net. Anyone can grow these beans!
My favourite way to eat this bean is to likely saute with a little salt. It’s so simple, it’s so tasty.
