The bael tree is highly valued in Ayurveda, and the bael leaves help to flush out toxins by stimulating the liver, promoting healthy digestion, and aiding in the elimination of waste. It also reduces inflammation and cholesterol levels, and it is full of nutrients and antioxidants. It is also said to control blood sugar levels.

I first ate a bael fruit leaf at a pooja, at my inlaw’s house; the taste was slightly astringent and citrusy. I immediately imagined it in a salad, and since then, it has been a regular addition to the Solitude farm salad. We also sell bael leaf powder, we dry the leaves and grind it into a powder and bottle it. This is a wonderful medicine and easy for people to use.
